Questions, answered
Why is there a temporary hold from Lyft on my bank statement?
When you request a ride, Lyft places a temporary pre-authorization hold on your card for the estimated fare. Once your trip concludes, Lyft charges the final total and releases the hold. Banks typically clear the hold within 3 to 5 business days.
How do I dispute a Lyft ride fee or route issue?
Open the Lyft app, navigate to Ride History, select the relevant trip, and tap Get help. Choose I want a refund or Review my route to submit a fare review. Approved credits post to your card in 3 to 7 business days or instantly as Lyft Cash.
