Why Gearbox Publishing Appears on Your Statement
Unreviewed registry note: A line item showing GEARBOX *GAMES STORE reflects a verified digital entertainment purchase processed by Gearbox Publishing SF (Take-Two). Gearbox Publishing oversees major PC and console game franchises, including Remnant II and Risk of Rain, along with long-running multiplayer online titles such as Neverwinter and Star Trek Online. Similar to purchases made on Steam or through parent publisher Take-Two, transactions under this descriptor represent authorized game software or in-game content.
Unreviewed registry note: This charge occurs when a player purchases full game downloads or virtual Zen currency used in free-to-play MMOs. If you or a family member purchased virtual currency packs on the Arc platform or bought a digital game code directly through gearboxpublishing.com, the transaction routes through Gearbox payment processors under this label. Charges can also originate from pre-orders or seasonal battle passes that process when released.
