GoodRx is widely known for its free prescription discount coupons, which you present at the pharmacy counter. When you use the free coupons, the charge on your bank statement comes from the pharmacy itself (e.g., CVS or Walgreens), not GoodRx. However, if you see a charge directly from 'GOODRX GOLD', you have enrolled in their premium subscription service.

GoodRx Gold is an upgraded membership program that offers deeper discounts on medications and telehealth visits for a monthly fee. The individual plan costs $9.99 per month, while a family plan costs $19.99 per month. Annual billing options are also available.

Why did this charge appear unexpectedly?

The most common reason for an unexpected GoodRx Gold charge is the expiration of a 30-day free trial. If you signed up to test the service or to get a larger discount on a one-time prescription fill and forgot to cancel before the trial window closed, your card was automatically charged for the first month of the paid subscription.

This membership will continue to renew automatically every month (or year) until you actively log in and cancel it.

How to cancel the GoodRx Gold membership

To stop future billing, you must cancel the membership through your GoodRx account. Simply deleting the app from your phone will not cancel the subscription.
