Common questions
Can a free trial charge me without warning?
In the US, merchants generally must disclose that a trial converts to paid billing before you sign up, and regulators have pursued undisclosed conversions. But the conversion itself is automatic — the trial ends and the first paid period bills unless you cancel first.
Why does my renewal amount differ from the monthly price?
Annual plans are often billed at a different rate than monthly ones, and some services grandfather the price at signup. A renewal at a higher amount usually means the rate changed after your last billing period.
