What an Uber Eats order is made of
Uber's Eats help page says that for each order you pay for the cost of the food, an Uber Eats booking fee and any applicable taxes. It also says each restaurant sets its own prices, and prices and offers in the app can differ from what you would pay in person at that restaurant.
That means a bank amount that looks higher than a menu price is not by itself a sign of a wrong charge. Uber's guidance on unfamiliar charges says a pending entry may be an authorization hold that eventually drops off and is never charged. Uber says it uses holds to protect against unauthorized card use, that all holds are canceled within a few business days, and that some banks take longer. A hold is more likely if you recently added a new payment method or have not used Uber in a while.
The same page says unrecognized charges are often tied to a friend, colleague or family member using your account, or using your card on a different account. Ask anyone who might share the card before assuming fraud, and check whether your card is saved on more than one Uber account.

Keep the statement entry, the date and the amount together, and sign in to Uber's help center to submit the unrecognized charge with those details. Uber says it will review the charge and get back to you. Uber also says it does not offer a customer service phone number for Uber Eats, so use the signed-in help center rather than a phone number found elsewhere.
For a pending entry, Uber's pending-charge article says your bank can confirm whether money has actually left your account and when the line will disappear.
