Why Overcast Appeared on Your Statement
Unreviewed registry note: An OVERCAST *PODCAST PREMIUM charge on your bank or credit card statement indicates an annual software subscription payment processed through the Apple App Store for the popular audio application created by Overcast Radio LLC. This recurring membership removes banner advertisements, unlocks advanced playback controls like Smart Speed and Voice Boost, and provides access to custom app icons on Apple devices.
Unreviewed registry note: Billing entries for this service typically appear after a user chooses the annual subscription tier inside the application or when an introductory trial automatically converts into a standard paid billing cycle. Because Apple acts as the merchant of record for all in-app transactions on iOS, statement descriptors reference both the developer and the app store billing mechanism.
