To allow renters to pay their landlords without incurring standard 2.5% to 3.5% credit card processing surcharges, Bilt provides users with a dedicated virtual routing and account number linked to their Bilt profile. When your property manager debits this virtual routing number through their tenant portal, Bilt turns around and executes an ACH debit against your designated external checking account or Bilt credit line.
If you also hold the Bilt Mastercard, you may see individual merchant charges that you made to satisfy Bilt's requirement of completing at least five card transactions each statement period to unlock points earned on monthly rent.
