Decoding CRUNCHYROLL
Crunchyroll bills under its own name for direct subscriptions — CRUNCHYROLL, CRUNCHYROLL.COM, or CRUNCHYROLL*MEMBERSHI (truncated). Sony acquired Crunchyroll in 2021, and some statements still carry VRVM*CRUNCHYROLL — a legacy code from Ellation, Crunchyroll's pre-Sony parent.
Pricing moved in February 2026: Fan $9.99/month, Mega Fan $13.99/month, and Ultimate Fan $17.99/month in the U.S. (the free ad-supported tier ended December 31, 2025, so every active account is now paid). Subscriptions renew monthly on the signup date.
