easy Supercharger Billing
Tesla's charging network operates entirely without point-of-sale terminals. When you plug in, the car communicates with the charger, and the cost is billed directly to the card on file in your Tesla app.
If you bought a used Tesla without free Supercharging, or if your free miles expired, you will start seeing these charges on road trips.
Non-Tesla Vehicles
Tesla has opened parts of its Supercharger network to non-Tesla EVs. If you drive a Ford, Rivian, or other EV and used the Tesla app to initiate a charge, you will see this descriptor.
Idle fees are heavily enforced. If you leave your car parked at a Supercharger after it is fully charged, you will be billed up to $1 per minute.
