You will see this descriptor for direct pay-as-you-go charging sessions, which are billed based on the amount of energy (kWh) dispensed or the time spent plugged in.
Additionally, if you subscribed to the Electrify America Pass+ program (which offers discounted charging rates), you will see a recurring monthly fee (typically around $4).
Authorization Holds
When you swipe a credit card at the charging pedestal, Electrify America often places a substantial pre-authorization hold (sometimes $50) to ensure the card has funds.
This hold will drop off and be replaced by the actual cost of the charging session within a few business days.
