How ChargePoint Billing Works
ChargePoint uses a prepaid wallet system. When you create an account and add a payment method, they often charge an initial deposit (e.g., $10) to fund your balance.
As you charge your EV, the session costs are deducted from this balance. When your balance runs low, ChargePoint automatically reloads it by charging your card another flat amount.
Managing Your EV Budget
Because of this wallet system, your credit card statements will show flat-rate charges (like $10 or $25) rather than the precise cost of the electricity used.
You can log into the ChargePoint app to view your actual charging history and adjust your auto-reload settings.
